BIOGRAPHY:

Fredrik Hjulmand: danish film composer, songwriter, bass player and singer.

Fredrik Hjulmand is an award winning composer who has scored and supervised short films, narrative and documentary features and live theatre. He is a Masters graduate from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory, Copenhagen.

His recent credits include Nitesh Anjaan’s feature documentary “Far From Home” – which made the official selection for CPH:DOX

In 2019 Fredrik scored the short narrative drama Uffe” by Sivert Christensen and the experimental short film “Hollow Pond” by Rolfin Nyhus, for which he won best score at the NYC indie film awards.

Fredrik is the lead singer and songwriter of the Danish band Spejlvendt. Their song “Slutspurten” appeared in the feature film “The Man” by Charlotte Sieling. He also co-wrote other songs that appear in the movie. As a bass player, Fredrik has played for names including Barbara Moleko, Ida Gard and Elias Bendix.
